Investment Size & Structure

We typically invest up to $50 million – with the ability to commit additional capital through co-investments – either for control or in a structured minority position to provide seller liquidity and/or growth capital.

Geographic Focus

We invest across North America as well as selectively in Europe.

Company Size

We invest in small- and mid-sized companies with healthy and sustainable margins; we do not invest in pre-revenue businesses unless incubated in-house by Volt.

Business Model and Profile

Our companies have proven in-market performance based on differentiated, defensible products and services, and intensely loyal customers and partners.

Florian van Rappard


Prior to Volt, Florian was the co-founder of SALSA SHOP, the leading Mexican fast-casual chain in the Benelux. Florian began his professional career as a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company – during this time he advised consumer products companies and investment firms on matters of corporate strategy, operational excellence and M&A.

Florian received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Financial Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Anichya Gujral


Prior to Volt, Anichya worked as an investor at Valinor Management focusing on the technology and consumer sectors and Anchorage Capital focusing on the consumer and real estate sectors. Anichya began his career at Lazard Frêres as Investment Banking Analyst in the Restructuring Group.

Anichya received a bachelor’s degree from Yale University, where he double majored in Economics and Electrical Engineering.
